The Fält Guide Glove has become a favourite among mountain guides, ski patrols and other outdoor professionals who spend a lot of their time in the cold and in the open air. The glove is named after Lars Fält, founder of the Survival School for the Swedish Armed Forces and an expert in wilderness survival. He was looking for a hardwearing, warm work glove and turned to Hestra. The result of this partnership was the Fält Guide Glove, which combines extra tough goatskin leather on the grip surfaces with flexible cowhide on the backhand. It has a removable liner in wool – nature's own super material – perfect if you spend long days in the mountains and want several dry liners to swap in and out. The design is relatively spacious, allowing plenty of insulating air. A decent workhorse that functions equally well in the mountains and in the forest, and with a little care will accompany you over years of ski tours and outdoor adventure.

Climbers Liba Short is a hardwearing, unlined half-finger climbing glove developed in partnership with mountain guide Alexander Nordvall. The palm is reinforced with Liba Grip – a supple material made from recycled polyurethane production waste – which provides excellent durability and good grip, even in damp conditions. The backhand is made from windproof, water-repellent polyester that lets moisture out. The upper sides of the thumb and fingers are made from hardwearing synthetic suede, and a discreet foam panel over the knuckles provides extra protection against impact. There are perforated ventilation holes on the upper sides of the fingers. A neoprene cuff with Velcro adjustment keeps the glove firmly in place, and a large eyelet makes it easy to attach to the harness when not in use. Also available with full-length fingers.

The reMix Mitt is a hardwearing mitten made from waste materials – treated goatskin and cowhide which wouldn’t otherwise be used in ordinary production. Using leather with minor visual defects or variations in colour is a way of helping to reduce waste without compromising on function or quality. The design is classic with a short cuff and elasticated wrist, with sections in contrasting colours creating an attractive, unique look. The wool liner is removable, making it easy to wash or dry. When the liner is worn out, it can be replaced – another way of using our resources sustainably. Note: Because this mitten is made from waste materials, it is only available in a limited edition.
